Podcast Episode 62 – Dude Ranches

In this podcast episode, I talk about my trip to a dude ranch in Mexico in November. I went there with 13 students and a few parents from the small private school where I teach Spanish four days per week – Jefferson Community School.

I tell you a bit about the history of dude ranches and describe in some detail what this particular dude ranch, Rancho Las Cascadas, is like.

We had a lot of fun getting to know the staff and the wranglers (cowboys), and it was a great way to experience rural Mexico.

We also visited Tenochtitlan and I climbed the Sun Pyramid!

I hope you enjoy listening to the podcast. If you want to get the full transcript so you can read along, purchase the Lesson Guide that goes with this episode. The Lesson Guide also has various types of questions, vocabulary words with definitions and sample sentences, and more. It is very useful to use for studying for the TOEFL or IELTS exams.

If you have been to a dude ranch, tell me about your experience in the comments section below. If you love horses, tell me about that too!
